Art in the Afternoon is an ongoing, year-round program. New students, please register or contact us for more details. We cannot accept walk-ins- please call in advance 603-580-5835. Thank you! Class fee may be paid at class, or billing by invoice is also an option.
Art in the Afternoon is for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. We work closely with some of the main service providers in the area to offer an environment that is supportive, inclusive and fun for students and staff. Everyone is part of the class experience and our attitude is laid back and easy going. Projects cover a wide range of topics and materials, switching between 2D and 3D assignments. We often use more than one class to complete a project, occasionally working on two or three projects simultaneously.
We offer continuity with year round classes and our smaller class sizes allows for great camaraderie to develop between students and staff. While we encourage our students to commit to regular participation at a discounted monthly rate we welcome one time visitors on a per class basis. Please call for pricing. Classes last for an hour.
Frequently we will host a social group for a one time workshop. These workshops are great fun, last 2 hours and we offer up to 3 activities. The activities are customizable based on your interests and can vary in 2D and 3D. Please contact Gina for information on scheduling a special event.
Art in the Afternoon Mondays 12:30-1:3pm Thursdays 12:00pm-1:00pm
This course focuses on providing 2D and 3D materials and projects to stimulate students’ deeper understanding of different art practices. We use fine art concepts such as composition, subject and materials to encourage exploration and self-expression.
